Merciful heavens, how do I apply to be special guest on the next ‘cast?
Wayne Gretzky’s 3D hockey was on the N64, fyi
podcast directory…
Excellent post. Could not have said it any better myself. Hat\’s off to a post well said….
I had a Wayne Gretzky’s Hockey board game as a kid too. Not really a board game, but it involved a metal spinning top in lieu of a puck that would really knock the crap out of your knuckles if you didn’t play it just right.
3D hockey, that’s right. I forgot the exact name, but I knew it was a Nintendo game. We are always taking applications for podcast guests.
Continuting the old hockey game talk, the first one I remember playing was Superstar Ice Hockey for the Commodore 64. The AI was incredible. You could deke out the defence and the goalie by skating straight at them and just running the puck into the back of the net. I used to have competitions with myself to see how many goals I could score in regulation. Fun fact, the game stopped counting after 255.
FYI Mac’s are clearly better then PC’s, 2 years not one crash, suck it PC.
As it turns out, there are two different Wayne Gretzky hockey games. Julie was thinking of Wayne Gretzky’s 3D hockey but I was actually thinking of this one. If you know the game, you’ll recognize the box.
Also, I played the piss out of Superstar Ice Hockey. I still have it for PC on 3 1/2″ floppy somewhere. My favourite part wasn’t actually playing the game but that you could trade players! Amazing!
For all of you 360 owners interested in playing Viva Pinata, it can be bought at your local BestBuy for $9.99! A lot, and I mean a lot, of copies are available!
